Valentines Day Computer Massacre

I sent the old ink jet printer to the trash bin. And then its predecessor that had been sitting on the porch for five years followed. Then I ceremoniously formatted the Dell desk top's hard drive, including its Windows 98 OS that lost technical support long ago. After taking a screwdriver to the hard drive, it followed to the trash bin. And for good measure so went the flat bed scanner. Thousands of dollars of hardware trashed, all inspired by the purchase of our new $107 all-in-one printer. The back breaking monitor will be environmentally taken to the dump.

I violated the terms of our Valentine's Day boycott by putting a little heart sticky on Dix's coffee cup this morning. She said "I can top that" and pulled a signed card out of the drawer that she had in reserve.
