We decided to walk at Morad Park where the dogs are allowed off the leash. I had walked there after work Friday and saw a guy skating with three pit bulls like Cesar Milan. They were a well trained, happy pack and you could tell they posed no threat under this guy's control, even when whizzing by the maladjusted Poodle types. Early this morning under cloudy sky there was hardly anything going on.
Even the birds at the Audubon Park were silent. A couple of Gold Finches, Cat Birds and a pair of Flickers checked in but that was it. Mama deer stretched and nibbled as high as she could on a gourmet bush.We thought we'd give International House of Pancakes one last chance but then remembered they blew the last last chance.
On the way to Perkins we were distracted by the balloon rally and watched this near miss - the one on the right going eastward and up over a power line and the left coating westward and downward. Slow motion excitement. At Perkins I admired an Avante, made to order in South Bend, Indiana by Studebaker.
Then Eggs Benedict.
