Dix's Yucca plant, now in its fourth year, has at last put out a bloom. Mama squirrel tried to steal the show in the picture. She has gotten tame enough that she would take peanuts from your hand but we don't want to break down her defenses completely.
Loren had burgers and brats on Saturday giving us an excuse to get away from the house chores. We had something in common to talk about with their friend Lisa - soggy basement carpets. Loren is dismayed to have apparently lost a fabrication job he thought he had with an oil field equipment company. Not sure whether the oil business is slacking or the company stole his design. We will be giving him a small job to build our patio columns that we have settled on. I've taken the model as far as it can go without doing something on the ground.
