It got up to sixty degrees today with just a breeze. Dix weeded a flower bed and I sculpted the front hedge. I noticed a wasp nest high in the eaves and tried to dislodge it with the tree trimmer leaning out the second floor window. I quickly abandoned the project when wasps started flying out of it. I shall wait for early morning when the temperature is cold and they are sluggish.
We watched the Derby and Dix had a lot of emotion invested in Eight Bells. She wept when the filly was euthanized after breaking her ankles. We went for a nice walk along the river to pick up her spirits.
