Cat Trials

We fed momma alley cat one time in the dead of last winter. She took up residence behind the garage and now has two kittens. She is ugly as sin but her kittens are cute, one gray with penetrating eyes and a scrawny one with a black moustache we call Groucho. The Humane Society was full but Dix found an adopter - a clerk at the Big R Store. They were looking for mousers. I lured the kittens into our pet carrier and sprung the door shut. Momma was semi tame and came along willingly. We gave them $30 for vet expenses.

After having cleared this operation in advance, the next door renter now claims she had her heart set on baby gray. Figuring she never follows through on anything I told her she could retrieve it from Big R. To my bigger surprise she went down there and did just that. Now in full feminine control and satisfaction she had the kitten on her lap purring on the way home. When her toddler reached over to pet it, the cat went psycho. Her husband reached over to separate them and got nailed several times on the arm. They turned around and reunited the cats and adopters. The next day Jess went to the doctor to get antibiotic shots for his swelling arm. Dix was dying to learn what BS she told Big R so like a good woman she went down to snoop. The clerk was off but the stock boy said last he knew the cats are living above the ceiling.
