Why was Rush ostracised from participation in the NFL? Maybe because his personality would distract from the rivalry between teams. Commissioner Goodell might be wise in keeping football about football and it is within his discretion how to do so. It was not necessary for someone to slander Rush in the process of bringing him down. The false quotes that were attributed to Limbaugh (and other conservatives) were placed on Wikipedia via an IP address traced to Patterson Belknap Webb and Tyler LLC, a New York law firm. That firm specializes in sports groups but its slander of other conservative individuals who are not in that business indicates the firm is also working politically. Who has directed and financed these dirty tricks may be exposed before too long.
Back to Rush, perhaps the most controversial thing he actually did say is that that sports media had a reporting bias to have a black quarterback succeed. Now we live in an America that is the result of an obsession for a black President to succeed.
