We cancelled our car shopping trip to Denver on account of snow. Bought a car via email instead. Not a bad way to go since that eliminated salesmen taking advantage of Dix's overt excitement. We'll pick up the car in about 8 weeks when it arrives from Bavaria.
Confined to indoors with two days of vacation to spend, I got busy finishing the electric rewiring. I was also inspired by the Casper Trib's front page picture of the wiring at the KC Apartments that was closed for code violations which was tame by comparison to my interim dangling wires. The main stumbling block to completing my project was tying in my octopus junction box. It is now finished except for plastering in a few "pilot holes". The right leg turns into the wall to connect with another junction box on the other side.
The upper left leg was bent down from the ceiling using my modified conduit bender. The bottom leg goes to an original outlet next to the laundry tub that is now protected by GFI, an arc-fault-interrupter breaker and an actual ground wire. The junction box on the other side only needs a cover plate to meet code is an inspector were ever to see.
