The old 800-pound gorilla boiler has gotten its laugh. The process of prying apart its sections and carrying the broken down carcass up the stairs most assuredly took its toll on my knee. Thank goodness unloading the iron at the salvage yard was easier. Like magic, a worker hoisted it all out in two swoops with their giant magnet. I was amazed to see the truck just pop back up on its springs, and additionally surprised to get $44 for the scrap iron.Buddy exploded with barking last night and charged towards the back door. Dix and I were aghast. It's the first bark in the two months we've had him. Near as we can figure a deer may have jumped the alley fence in his line of sight. All the tussling with Milo may have raised his self esteem. Milo was aghast too.
