The dead limb stump on the apple tree had been bugging me for some time. Dix had been against pruning it back because the squirrels perch on it. So when in a moment of reason she agreed it was an eyesore and detrimental to the overall health of the tree, I quickly got the bow saw out and lopped it off. I rounded off the edges with a rasp. The squirrels have already checked out the remodel. 
We did not know when to quit with the beautiful weather. Even Spook stayed out all afternoon soaking up vitimin D. We're all pretty wiped out tonight.
