Bluegrass in Denver was great. My favorite was the Claire Lynch band. She has an angelic voice. She just strums a guitar and they play without the usual banjo component. So that leaves a mandolin and lead guitar for the basic sound but these two guys were phenomenal. I bought their CD for the Wabash Cannonball. I got it autographed too.
Another group Sons and Brothers was quite an emotional set. They were a group of a father and three sons, and an uncle. The leader of the band died in October and this was their first performance without him in ten years. The youngest was always a novelty for his cute small size - always played mandolin and never sang. 
Now he's the tallest and they popped a surprise on the audience by debuting him singing solo a song his father always sang. In fact, he had such a rich voice it shocked the audience to an ovation. There was not a dry eye in the house or stage.
