We took a trip over to
Riverton between snowstorms. We boarded Spook overnight at a
Riverton kennel so that he would spend as little time as possible out of his own home environment. Then a burger and
potato soup lunch at Don and Delores'. Don took a nap while Delores, Dix and I exercised in the high school lap pool, steamed and
whirlpooled. We absorbed enough heat and humidity that walking out into the ice covered parking lot seemed fairly pleasant.
On to a 10-minute
power nap back at the house, and Ruby and
Dessie joined us for adult beverages and a homey ham dinner with sweet potato casserole, lemon
merange pie for me and banana split sundae for Dix. Then Delores treated us to the Celine's
A New Day. She wore her
New Day T-shirt she had purchased in Vegas and her enthusiasm was
contagious. We vied for front row seating.
Dessie at 86 was still up for the party at midnight.
