One thing about Casper is community cohesion. We lost a young fireman who had a stroke while responding to an emergency. His funeral included a procession of law enforcement vehicles a mile long. You can see part of it heading in a different direction in the far background of the telescopic photo. Two hook and ladders hung an American Flag over an intersection. Citizens gathered along the route with no specifics announcement other than it would occur after noon. His casket was carried by the lead firetruck. At the internment there was a voice over a loud speaker "Calling Firefighter Longo - Report to Duty..." Then in another voice "Firefighter Longo has reported for final duty."
