With a Droid and the Beemer Navigation at my disposal and Dix on the realty websites at home, we made a pretty good team checking out homes for sale in the Colorado Springs area. After some trial and error, Dix was able to send me to locations without zig-zagging halfway across the front range. She has a tendency to not see beyond the interior of a house.
My base of operations was in Manitou Springs. I learned the meaning of Manitou from cousin Denise's 10-year-old daughter. I could not understand why they would name this place after an underwater mammal. Ava said that would be a Manatee, whereas Manitou is the breath of God.

The family is very active in biking, jogging, and skiing. Leeland is close to becoming an Eagle scout. He also can do some pretty good licks on his guitar. They don't have TV. On Valantine's day, we sat around the fireplace while they exchanged cards and poems. Dad left a post-it note for Ava the next morning saying how much better the coffee tasted out of his new Valentine mug.

Returning to Casper I was disappointed there is still snow on the roof tops. Before we can continue the retirement home search, I need to test the radon level in the basement, meet with the CASA team for the next court hearing, check in for jury duty, and have a colonoscopy. It doesn't matter if there is snow.
