Resuming Unproductive Activity

Sitting on the front porch writing this post and watching over my garage sale. A guy stopped in his pickup to look at the microwave and left after he saw there was a price tag. His tailgate fell open.

Lady stops in a little white car and scans the items from her driver's seat. Off she goes - microwave apparently is of no interest now that she knows what it is.

Our camper trip to Davy's cabin in Story was therapeutic. His two dogs and three cats were good hosts. Peaches the cat is deathly skinny and is passing her last summer. Zeke is a white kitten but appears to be the ruler of all. Remington the runt Chow needs to be fixed. Buddy socialized well with everybody and fended off Remi's amorous overtures with pretty convincing barks. Milo was a pill. Stayed in the safety of the camper most the time. Ironically he did tolerate Remi.

We took a walk with Davy across his acreage and it was comical to see the cats loping along with the dogs.

We whiled away the time mostly sitting on the porch drinking beer and wine and watching a half dozen hummingbirds sipping at the feeders. They make a pretty intense chip that plays havoc with my hearing aids. Rufus spends much of his time running off the others, presumably males.

Remi earned his shock collar for chasing two deer, and then got leashed up before he noticed Tom Turkey picking his way through.

This garage sale is a turkey too. I'm not looking forward to returning the items back to the porch.
