Does a Bear Poop in the Back Yard?

We took a trip to Story to meet up with the annual elk hunt participants and their wives at Dave and Marilyn's cabin. Davie's son that engraves headstones and markers was there with his wife and kid too, as well as Don's brother Bob and Barbara, and Barbara the ex sister-in-law who brought lemon chiffon and three-berry pies. It was our first time there but we at once felt at home and relaxed. Their full front porch accommodated everyone. The cabin was built by Dave's ancestors and one of the last ones constructed of the local Ponderosa pine. We enjoyed sleeping in the indoors while our hosts slept outside in their tent.

Dave took Travis and I for a walk and showed us where he saw a mountain lion a couple weeks ago. They come down to feast on the whitetail deer that are otherwise protected by no hunting allowed. We did not see any big cats or bears but upon arriving back home, found some scat in the back yard. I dare say it looks like bear to me, albeit a small one ...or maybe a big racoon.
