The Kids are in Town

This visit from the kids has been a long awaited one - plus one day from a delayed flight forcing an overnight stay in Denver. While we were very disappointed from losing a day from our visit, we did feel much more rested on the day of their arrival since all the last minute preparations were already done. Same for them - they left all their Chicago stress in the motel jaccuzi in Denver. They flew into Casper in a snowstorm but today is sunny and it's already melted off. They brought their dog biscuit, a tiny King Charles Spaniel. We took a walk at the college to see the prarrie dogs that are bunkered in amongst the rock wall terraces. While they are not concerned with the traffic, pedestrians are a completely different story and we made a big deal on sneaking up on them. Biscuit enjoyed her first ever walk off the leash. She was bewildered with her freedom and walked even tighter in.

We rented videos and I enjoyed watching Sponge Bob Square Pants with Ben. He was grossing all of us out with his front tooth that was hanging by a thread. I dozed off in the chair and was awakened by the news it had finally come out. Next morning he was all excited with the silver dollar left by the tooth fairy.
