The big hit for the kids' visit was the Casper Rec Center pool. Benjamin was like a dolphin, here watching his mom go down the spiral slide. His dad Chris entertained everybody with his tsunami like waves from the blue chute. Looks like he will be trying to lose weight with a new diet pill he bought. 
I'd promised a camping trip and since Ben had his heart on it, we went towards the Shirley Mountains as far as where the road was closed for the winter. The wind was too strong for a campfire so we roasted the marshmellows over the camper stove. I can't remember s'mores tasting so good.
We did not sleep very well with the wind buffeting the camper. Awoke every hour or so watching for storm clouds that might make us snowbound. The nearly full moon crept across the sky all night hiding the milky way. It set as the sun was rising.
