Hallie came by to pick Buddy up and Dix told her we decided to keep him. Hallie was overwhelmed with relief. She knew she needed to find a new home for him since she was over the limit on number of dogs allowed, and the neighbor had complained, and, most important, now her mother-in-law was moving in. Yet, Buddy greeted her with such affection it brought tears to her eyes. She rationalized Buddy will be in a good home just down the street and they will be reunited periodically when she is the dog-sitter.
I've been applying an enzyme to Bud's canine teeth to dissolve some plaque I think may be bothering him. Next is hip surgery. One hip was successfully repaired a year ago and we think his other one should be fixed before it becomes a bigger problem for him. Hallie will assist us with her special in with the vet.
Time for a walk.
