"Never do you hear a clear explanation why the well would need to flow full bore into the Gulf for three days before it could be piped to the surface. Now that there is a cap with a pressure gauge, could an ulterior motive be the government wants an open-flow test to extrapolate how much oil actually flowed during the out-of-control period? Would the Obama administration further befoul the Gulf in the interest of getting data with which it could further litigate against BP? It makes even more sense why BP wants to keep the cap closed off. It knows Obama's duplicity."
