Sideswipe

Whang! My breakaway passenger side mirror took a hit from an illegally parked vehicle's mirror. Illegal in my opinion since it extended over the parking line by at least a couple inches. A car on my left had me boxed in and another vehicle was close behind, so I went for it and lost. Fortunately the mechanics of the retractable, heating, and remote control mirror were all still intact - just the shroud fractured into a dozen pieces. That can't be too expensive. I did go around the block to see if the offending vehicle suffered damage - which I judged not, at least from drive-by inspection and in relative terms.
