Set back
The weekend came to a grinding halt with a pinched nerve in Dix's back. It first appeared after her walk on Friday morning after which she kind of layed low. We're blaming it on her raising the garage door. Saturday she was an invalid. Saturday night the pain was excruciating - crying pain. No way to sit or walk, only to cringe into bed and cry. I could not touch her. She needed DRUGS! Oxycodine and Relafin in the medicine cabinet from five years ago, and two Aleves got into the car for a trip to the emergency room at 2 a.m. As I was edging her out of the car, the night cop at the door asked if we needed a wheelchair to the delivery room. For me it was comic relief (...61 years old, you old rascle) but Dix saw no humor. Not until they gave her morphine was she civilized. Now back at home we're both sleeping the weekend away.
