Colcannon
We had a nice evening with Dana and Loren - dinner at Old Chicago and entertainment at the high school auditorium. We saw Colcannon, a Celtic group and one of Dana's favorites. Dix liked the violinist. They were all good but I especially liked the bass player. He didn't just pluck, but strummed and bowed and chopped with flourish. He also played a bass harmonica that looked like a toaster and sounded like Star Wars, and he did some chanting that actually scared a child in the audience.
