Travels

We got away for what turned out to be a trip to Manitou Springs where the winter storm forecast turned us back home. We were pretty much ready anyway with the confines of the pets in the Mountaineer and an out-of-balance tire.  Two homes in Fort Collins and Loveland that looked good on the Internet turned out to be not so charming in person - crammed into undersized lots and one needing roof repair.  Had a nice visit with cousin Denise and Chip and Ava but Leland was sequestered in the bedroom with the flu. Denise commented that some neighborhoods are already starting to run down with the new marijuana law.

We took a detour to Boulder to look at a 2000 Limited Edition Pleasureway RV that was advertised on Craigslist. It said "You can spend more (than $24,500) but you will not get more." Au contraire. The old fart had ripped out the shower and sink because "he never used it and it was just in the way." We also browsed kitchen appliances at a specialty store. Next now on the bucket list is a Thermador Professional Steam Range.
